Global Design Project #136 Case the designer.

Hello and welcome! Today for Global Design Project #136 we are CASing the very talented Designer Allison Okamitsu.

So continuing my quest to #Love It Chop It with my designer series paper I have made two little mini albums for this challenge.
I have used the gorgeous Designer Series Paper Bundle of Love and it's coordinating Bundle of Love Memories & More Card Pack to adorn the inside of the albums.

I have chosen the stamp set Cookie Cutter Christmas for my cover so the albums coordinate with the cards from my previous post.

Thank you for visiting me today.

Below are the products I have used for my Global Design Project Challenge #GDP136 Case The Designer.

Stamping Dreams Blog Hop Favourite DSP

Welcome to the April, 2018 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia and this month's theme is 'My Favourite Designer' Series Paper. I hope you are inspired by my project today.

I love this theme. Kylie Bertucci coined the hashtag ‘love it chop it’ and that’s what I intend to do for the next 2 months with my retiring Designer Series Papers. I have hoards of retired designer series paper taking up space in my craft room I felt was too precious to cut. But with my current Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers about to retire I am going to take Kylie's advise and use as much as I can to make way for the beautiful new papers on the way.

In a way this month's Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop theme was a bit difficult. 'Favourite DSP' mmmm which one to choose?
I decided to create a Grandmother's Brag Book of my newest Granddaughter using the gorgeous Painted with Love Designer Series Paper from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. This paper has gold foil accents on one side and brushstroke imagery on the other. 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 doubled-sided designs.

I had such fun creating this album. In between each page there are 3 hidden pockets to insert extra photographs, personal information and keepsakes. This is one of the sweet pages hidden in the pockets.

Thank you for being part of Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop I recommend following the links below for more inspiration. I can't wait to see everyone else's creations.

Happy Mother's Day

As a Mother's Day gift for the special Mums in my family I have made these tiny purses. They are big enough to hold 3" x 3" cards and envelopes. I have filled these purses with some little treats for them to sit back and enjoy. If Mums ever get a chance to do that.
As we will be saying goodbye to all our current Designer Series Papers within the next few weeks I thought this would be a lovely way to use the papers.

This design is a CASE from Becky Roberts an American Demonstrator who has so many amazingly clever ideas.

If you would like to make these little purses you will need:
1 piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) 11" x 3-1/2"
Coordinating cardstock 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" scored on all four sides for purse base
3 x 1/2"strips of A4 cardstock cut from the long side
2 x 1/2 strips cut at 6" long for handles

To construct the purse make the 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" cardstock into a box  then wrap the DSP around the outside making sure it is level with the base of the box adhering with 'Tear and Tape' as you go.
Adhere the 1/2" strips to the bottom of the box, around the top and inside top.
Adhere the 6" strips of cardstock for handles to both sides.
Decorate as you like.
All the other measurements I have seen online require you to use 12" x 12" cardstock for these gift purses so a big thank you to Katie Legge for providing me with the measurements to be able to use the Australian A4 size cardstock.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Happy Mother's Day to all the Mum's.
Have a lovely day.
