Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #148|Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set a colour challenge. The challenge colours being Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lolly. 2 returning Stampin' Up! colours and the new Lemon Lolly.
I needed some thank you cards for friends & family who recently helped me celebrate a birthday I would have just as easily liked to forget. But they made such a fuss and made me feel so special I needed to express my appreciation in a special way. As I was making 30 of these cards I chose the 3 colours for the challenge and mixed them up a bit for some variety.

I have used the bundle I have been itching to use, the Timeless Arrangements, since the Annual Catalogue was released. My flowers have been stamped on and cut from the Fluid Watercolor Paper (page 126 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue).

After colouring & die cutting the flowers I have arranged them around the sentiment adding some Vellum Cardstock die cut flowers to bring softness to the design.

You will notice the Cross-Hatch Embossing Folder I have used to add texture to the cards. If you are looking for this in the catalogue STOP. The folder is available as part of a pack of 3 which are available only through my online store along with many other online exclusive products. I have included the link below in my product list.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #147|Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have my favourite challenge a sketch challenge.

For my submission I have created a scene with the Les Shoppes Suite Collection from 2023-2024 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.
I may have cheated a little and substituted a strip of the Bubble Bath colour ribbon for the strip across the centre of the sketch design as I wanted to keep the design soft. The ribbon has silver thread along the edges so I thought that my pass. This ribbon is one of the three coloured ribbons included in the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack. The other colours in the pack include Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly.

My next card is a pop-up shop. The shop folds flat for posting.
My background shop images where stamped in Bubble Bath ink I then applied ink to a stamp block and moved it around my background until I was happy with the result. To build the pop-up I cut a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock 5.8cm x
11.5cm.
I then scored the long side at 1cm, 2cm, 9.5cm &10.5cm.
I stamped a top and bottom storey of the shop in Bubble Bath ink on Bubble Bath cardstock, die cut the shop pieces then adhered the shop pieces between the two middle score lines.
I then positioned my window and door dies on my stamped shop and die cut them out.
I adhered a piece of window sheet to the back for window glass. I then applied tear and tape along the top and bottom edges of the score lines, folded the top and bottom scored flaps inwards and adhered the shop  to my card face. I stamped my interior displays on basic white cardstock, coloured them with my Stampin'  Blends, applied adhesive to their backs and slide them in position lining them up with their respective windows.

While I was playing with this suite I had an idea to make a cute Christmas Shop. For my Christmas images I have used stamps from the new online only Trucking Along Stamp Set and Punch Bundle. The wreath I trimmed from the Delightful Doily Hybrid Die. (Sorry the little bows are from the Tree Lot Dies which are no longer available, however their coordinating stamp set Trees for Sale is available in the Clearance Rack at the moment.)

I thought It would be a nice idea to include a Gift Card pop-up section in the centre of the card to go with the shopping theme.

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #146|Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create. Challenge number #146. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set an Inspiration Challenge. The challenge is to create a project from anything that appeals to you in this cute card created by Jo Blackman. You could choose to recreate the layout, use the colour scheme. Whatever you wish.
To me the card looked like it was a Double Z Fold card. So I have created three different versions of the Fancy Fun Fold Technique. Measurements can be found at Amanda Bates website. Amanda provides both USA inches and A4 measurements. Thank you so much Amanda for sharing.
I have used the oh so cute characters from Stampin' Up!'s Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper. There are so many animal characters in this paper you could create dozens and dozens of cards for almost any occasion.

My first card I have teamed the elephant image with Pool Party Cardstock and the Pool Party design from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.
For my background spots I diecut a Cardstock Mask from the Dots & Spots Die then randomly daubered though the spots in the template.

My dancing Hippopotamuses are coordinated with the Bubble Bath Cardstock and the Subtles Designer Series paper.

And for the gorgeous knitting Alpaca I have used Lemon Lolly Cardstock and again the Subtles  Designer Series Paper in Lemon Lolly.

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?
