Inspire.Create. STAMPING CHALLENGES Colour Challenge #224

Hello and welcome to the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. Today we have been set a colour challenge. For this challenge our colour combination is any shade of blue, green and red.

When I first saw these colours, I was a bit thrown as to how I would use them, but then I thought, “Aha! Christmas!” 🎄

I saw another demonstrator using the Santa’s Hat stamp set and absolutely loved how simple it was! 🎅❤️ The hat is shaded with easy two-step stamping, so it does all the hard work for you. I just love when a stamp set makes creating look this effortless!

I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to incorporate the green into the card, but then the simple little touches of holly and twine came to the rescue! Sometimes it’s the smallest details that bring everything together.

You might be wondering, “Where on earth has she used blue on this card?” Well… look a little closer!  The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea ink. It’s my go-to colour for sentiments because it stamps beautifully and is just that little bit softer than black. I love how it gives a crisp, classic look without being quite so harsh.

You can find even more inspiration from the incredibly talented members of our Design Team over on the Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges website
