Today I’m sharing a simple yet eye-catching card that combines both dry and heat embossing. I’m also giving you a little sneak peek of the beautiful new Fern and Flora Suite from the upcoming May–August Stampin’ Up! catalogue!
For this design, I experimented with a popular technique—cutting the embossed background into 1" and ¾" strips, then mounting them alternately on dimensionals. The result is a striking layered 3D effect that really brings the card to life.
Such a fun way to add texture and depth—definitely a technique worth trying!
I can’t wait to see what you create!I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today and feel inspired to join in the challenge!
You can find even more inspiration from our talented design team over on the Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges website.
We’d absolutely love to see your creations—be sure to submit your projects here by 10am Sunday (UK time).
Below are the products I’ve used for today’s project. If you’re based in Australia and would like to purchase them, simply click on the product thumbnails to visit my online store.
