Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #019: 2018-2020 In Colors

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. For todays challenge we are incorporating the new 2018-2020 Stampin' Up! In Colours: Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel. I think they look so bright and cheerful together.

For my first card rather than just stamp the colours straight out I have used the stamp set Balloon Celebration and have tried my hand at blending the colours with sponge daubers to see how the colours would work together.

I then again used the sponge daubers but just used each colour separately for each balloon for this card.

As always I have made more stamp images than needed so I added a small coordinating 4" X 4" note card to my collection.

The good news for you is the new Stampin' Up! In Colours are available right now for purchase! Just visit my online store for details.

You are more than welcome to enter your projects for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges here and have a visit to see the projects other talented stampers have created.

Global Design Project #GDP138

Hello and welcome. Global Design Projects #GDP138 is a sketch challenge. I love the Global Design Project sketch challenges as you don't have to think as most of the work is done for you, just pick your colours and go.

I have created my projects for the challenge using the gorgeous designer series paper from the 'Share What You Love Suite'. This is my card.

I have had this grungy notebook for zonks it is my encyclopaedia for recording project ideas and measurements. I have always meant to cover it with some designer series paper to pretty it up. Sometimes I think we procrastinate for a reason. When I saw the elements box that comes FREE with the 'Share What You Love Bundle ' 2 & 3 and how prettily decorated it was I thought how perfect it would be for my notebook cover.  Even the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart stamp which is FREE with the 'Gotta Have It All Bundle' was perfect for the font cover sentiment. A constant reminder of what I love doing the most.

Here is the set together.
For anybody joining my team this month you will receive this set as a gift from me. Sorry you will not get my grungy old notebook you but will receive a brand new one of your own.

Stamping Dreams Blog Hop New Catalogue Sneak Peak

Welcome to the May, 2018 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia and this month's theme is 'New Catalogue Sneak Peak'. I hope you are inspired by my projects today.

Anxious to see what all the other stampers have created using the beautiful new products soon to be released in the 2018-2019 Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue I have really been looking forward to this Sneak Peek Blog Hop.
One of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is you get to view the catalogue ahead of time and you are able to place a preorder.
I have chosen the fun bundle Sea of Textures for my projects today.
The images reminded me of the things you would see if you were looking through the glass of an aquarium so I have created a window card with a sea view.

I really liked the sentiment 'thanks for reaching out' so I had to use it with the octopus image on the inside of the card.

While doing a 'Spring Clean' of my craft room I found some little shell and sand shaker frames. I thought one decorated with some images from the Sea of Textures stamp set would make an ideal gift for my aquarium crazy grandson.

Thank you for being part of Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop I recommend following the links below for more inspiration. I can't wait to see everyone else's creations.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Sunshine Challenge #018

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #018 and todays challenge has the theme 'Sunshine'.

Considering that in the past few days we are just experiencing the first blasts of freezing winds and showers of the colder months of the year this really was a challenge for me. I took myself back to the summers of my childhood sitting on the back steps of our then family home with my sister surrounded by a full view of Lake Illawarra and the mountains to the west. Both of us eating watermelon and seeing how far we could spit the seeds. Disgusting I know but we were kids.
So I thought of those watermelon days and designed my card around those days.

My watermelon was made using the Rainbow Builder Framelits dies from the Occasions Catalogue. I cut the half circles first then gave them a watercolour wash for a soft effect. I have also made some gift tags using the same theme depicting some summery sunshine images.
