Last Minute Christmas Gifts

Hello I thought I would share with you today some of the quick small Christmas gifts I have been creating during the lead up to Christmas.
The first are my little Santas for my grandnephews and grandnieces.

I simply cut a 5cm x 21cm strip of card stock punched, both ends with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch and scored along the long side at 9cm from each end.
I stamped Santa from the Be Jolly stamp set, coloured him with my blend pens, fussy cut him out then adhered him to the front of the 5cm strip. I then die cut a hole for his tummy. I needed a hole in the front and back to accomodate a Lindt chocolate.

My next projects are gifts for family and stamping friends. I have created some pretty polished pink poinsettias using the Poinsettia Dies and the gorgeous 2021-2023 Shimmer Vellum.

Using the die cut poinsettias I have added them to gift tags large and small.

For the small poinsettia I have just used up my scraps as I couldn't bear to waste the beautiful paper.

Here I have added the poinsettias to the top of our 31/8" x 31/8" acetate card boxes adding some pink Lindt chocolates to coordinate.

For this project I have decorated a candle jar

I have had such fun with these colours this year inspired by the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Paper I couldn't not pass up creating a gift box of tags with the Whimsy Wonder Suite.

I have packaged them in a Stampin' Up! C6 Acetate Card Box.

I found adding the ribbon to the tag tops was a little bulky so I have folded and tied the ribbon and nestled it in the box with the cards to create a pretty presentation.

Notice a little sneak peak? The Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer ribbon available next month in our new January-June Mini Catalogue.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Challenge #106

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week the design team have been set a colour challenge using the Stampin' Up! colours Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

This colour palette is not a combination I would usually work with but I have dug deep and this is what I have come up with.

Using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite from the July-December Mini Catalogue I have pulled out the Cinnamon Cider coloured patterned paper from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper pack and designed my cards to replicate the frosted gingerbreads we associate with Christmas.
For my first card I have stamped out the patterned star in the stamp set on basic white paper to create a piped icing sugar gingerbread.

The second card I have used my Blending Brush, Whisper White Craft ink and a die cut star from the Gingerbread Dies as a template to create the more subtle effect of icing sugar sprinkled onto the ginger bread.

This next card is my favourite a fun z fold card. The gingerbread shapes were stamped directly onto the card front panel.
Measurements are as follows:
Crumb Cake card stock 51/2" Scored at 21/8" and 41/4"
Early Espresso card stock 4" x 5" for first layer
Basic White card tock 23/4" x 5" for front stamped panel
Basic White 4 x 51/4" for the inside stamped panel.

And just for fun I have created some little sugar sprinkled  gingerbread shapes which would make delightful gift tags or just hanging decorations.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Bright and Bold

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a theme challenge for you, the theme being 'Bright and Bold'.

I have a great niece turning 4 years old this week so I thought a Bright and Bold card was in order.

To create the card I chose the brightest colour combination I could think of in our Stampin' Up! colour range. I have used the Mini Catalogue's Sweet Treats stamp set, teamed it with the die from the Classic Cloche Bundle and the Bundle's coordinating Cloche Shaker Domes. I then added the bright Shaker Shapes from the Annual catalogue to make a shaker card for her.

I have also created a Christmas card with a coordinating box of tags with the same stamp set yummy enough to eat.
The interlocking fold card I have CASEd from Lori Pinto. For instructions follow her link to watch her YouTube video. She explains the instructions much better than I would.

I designed this card set for my Stamp Club this week. I have filled the Kraft Gift Box with four 2 3/4" square gift cards and 4 coordinating gift tags. If I were to make the set again I would have made the gift cards 3 3/4" square so they would sit more snuggly in the box. To overcome this I tied the gift cards with a ribbon bow to hold them in place.

The measurements for the lining sections of the box are:
Gift tags: 16cm x 16cm scored all four sides at 1.5 and 3cm.
Gift tags: 16cm x 11.5cm scored all four sides at 1.5cm and 3cm.
Pen section: 8cm x 16cm scored at 1.6cm, 3.2cm, 4.8cm, 6.4cm.
