INSPIRE. CREATE. Stamping Challenges

Inspire.Create.Challenges 006 is a Fancy Fold challenge.

I am hoping that the card I have created qualifies as a Fancy Fold card. I have made the card by adhering 5 notecard envelopes together so when opened a concertina fold is revealed. So I guess it should be classed as a fancy fold card.

I have made this for my niece who has just become a mother for the first time with the birth of her darling little daughter.
I have chosen the colour palette of Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate and Pumpkin Pie as a step away from the traditional 'Pink for Girls' colour choice.

When the concertina is folded a little birdhouse adorns the cover. The card has been stamped with the Swirly Bird stamp set with some daisy flowers from A Little Wild stamp set. Did you spot the little 'sneak peak' of our soon to be released Designer Series Paper? You will find that the card fits neatly into Stampin' Up's! C6 envelopes.

Thank you visiting me today and for more inspiration pop on over to the INSPIRE. CREATE. Stamping Challenge website.

Until next time Happy Stamping.

The Last Hooray!

Sadly we are half way through the last month of our Stampin' Up! 2017 Holiday Catalogue and what a fabulous catalogue it has been. So for Global Design Project #116 I have decided to showcase the retiring Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle today.
Global Design Project #GDP116 is CASE the very talented Designer Janneke De Jong.

Brightly Lit Christmas oozes nostalgia however sitting just outside the front of my home is a very similar version of the lamp post image in this stamp set.

I have gold embossed the lamp post and the wreath, then added a simple sentiment from Santa's Sleigh Photopolymer Stamp set.

The gift tags were die cut from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies and gold embossed with the some more of the stamps from the Brightly Lit Christmas

I think the tiny gift tags coordinate beautifully with the little gift bag we made as a 'Make & Take' at our last team meeting.  Designed by Debbie Henderson these cute little bags are made from 2 pieces of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I have shared her video so you can pop on over and see how simple they are to make. Perfect for giving small gifts of jewellery or even gift cards and a great way to use up your retired DSP.

Even though the Holiday catalogue is coming to an end you may still be able to pick up some the items at a discounted price at my online store. However things are selling fast.

Thank you for visiting today and just a thought if you were thinking of joining Stampin' Up! I would be more than happy to welcome you to my team. You too can have all the added benefits of belonging to this fabulous company.

Something for us Aussies

Hello and welcome! Global Design Project #GDP115 challenge theme is Christmas. I just love the little icons GDP have used for it's heading, so sweet.

It is a rare occasion for snow to fall during December in Australia so I thought I would change things around a bit and go with projects more suited to our Australian Christmas.

I have created a wreath using Eucalypts leaves, gum nut blossoms and gum nuts. Plus some holly and fir leaves to add variety to shape.

Every single floral stamp set I possess was pulled off the shelf to find the right shape leaves I was aiming for. It was amazing how many unused treasures were collecting dust up there.

I have added some touches of glimmer paper and gold foil to add Christmas sparkle to the wreath.

To continue with my Australian Christmas theme I added some gum nuts and blossoms to a twig wreath for the first card.

And of course some seashells as a thank you to Stampin' Up! for giving us a stamp set design for our 'down under' customers.

I hope you have gained some inspiration from your visit today and don't forget that Stampin' Up! are having their Year-End Sale on at the moment. So if there is anything on your Wishlist you haven't got around to buying yet it would be a good idea to get in fast while stocks last, because once they have gone they have gone.  See what is available now from my online store.

Thank you for popping by and until next time happy stamping.
