Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #032.
Something I have taken away from Onstage 2018 is that Stampin' Up! have identified 3 types of stampers.
- Beginner Stamper: a stamper with very little stamping knowledge, few supplies and wish not to spend a lot on supplies. For these stampers we start with the basics maybe cardstock, a stamp set and ink.
- Casual Stamper: a stamper who stamps occasionally maybe for a special event, has limited time and owns some supplies. So we can add a little more technique or elements to the card.
- The Avid Stamper: this stamper will stamp at least 2-3 times a week and likes to create more detailed and intricate projects. They love techniques and like myself have to have it all.
Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Challenge #032 is a sketch challenge and we have a virtual blank canvas to play with. So I decided to create 3 cards each for the 3 types of stampers identified my Stampin' Up!
My first card is for the Beginner Stamper a very simple card using Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, the Inspired Events Stamp Set and Cross of Hope Framelit. I have chosen to use Stampin' Emboss Powder as whenever a new stamper uses it in my classes they are thrilled with the result. It's like magic! The cross I have die cut with the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine but if they didn't have access to a Big Shot a simple element could be used.
For my second card a card for Casual Stampers I have upped the ante and added Copper Stampin' Emboss powder as well as the Silver and framed it with a base of Silver Foil. I have also introduced a second stamp set Hold on to Hope. Which coordinated with The Cross of Hope Framelits. Still simple but a little more detailed than the first card.
For my Avid Stamper's card I have used more of my Big Shot, using the oval Framelits, the cross die cut from the Cross of Hope Framelits, the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for some background texture and again included a little silver embossing.
