Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Kids Challenge: #021

OK so I am a little late to the game! The Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #021 has the theme 'Kids' however I wasn't able to get my project completed in time for the Wednesday go live deadline, but I couldn't let a chance to create kids cards pass me by.

I have been itching to use my stamp set Let the Good Times Roll and it's coordinating Thrill Ride Pop-Up Thinlits Dies ever since they first appeared in the last Occasions Catalogue and I can't tell you how excited I was to see them included in our 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. It is such a fun set to play with.

This is the outside of my card. I chose to section it off so I could use as many of the elements contained in the set as possible I love the sweet little food card.

Then inside we have the pop-up part of the card. As a child I would be fascinated by pop-up cards so I think this would delight any child or even an adult. I know my 40+ year old daughter loves roller coaster rides so she may be the recipient of this card for her birthday next week.

 

Below I have framed up the pop-up die cut. I will more than likely be offering a class for this in the next few weeks. It is a little tricky to put together but well worth the effort.

A little advice if you purchase this set only use the thin whisper white cardstock for your roller coaster. It is a little more compliment than regular cardstock when you are trying to make the score lines. Plus make sure you view some of the excellent YouTube video instructions available

Global Design Project #GDP145

Hello and Welcome! Today we have Global Design Project #GDP145 which is a colour challenge. The unusual combination of Grapefruit Grove, Fresh Fig and Mint Macaroon

For my GDP projects I have chosen to create with the Rooted in Nature Bundle. The bundle includes 16 stamps both images and sentiments and 12 framelit dies. The framelits packet includes cutting as well as embossing dies. So many creative possibilities. 

I have created this card for a friend's birthday. She isn't really into flowers and lacey things so I thought the leaves might be something she would like.

   The little printed Kraft  Pillow box comes in a packet of 10 boxes and is so simple to fold together. I have coordinated mine using the Nature's Roots Framelits.

Global Design Project #GDP144

Hello and a warm welcome!
Global Design Project #GDP144 is CASE the very clever designer Charlet Mallet.

                                     CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

I have chosen to 'copy' Charet's design for my card but swapped out the the Stampin' Up! Suite Share What You Do for the Tea Room Suite.

Also I have added a few extra projects made with this gorgeous suite. The notecards are the Whisper White Narrow Notecards page 193 of the 2018 Annual Catalogue.

Here I have used the Kraft Pillow Boxes, also to be found on page 193 of the Annual Catalogue, as a pattern for my little pillow boxes. When I received the Kraft Pillow Boxes which come in a pack of 10 I felt they looked a little small but their size is deceiving at 12.7 cm x 7.6 cm they fold up into a perfect size for gifts and treats. I'm afraid mine have been on display at the recent Sydney Quilt and Craft show so they are a wee bit squashed. 

Thank you to all the lovely people that popped in to take a peek at our Stampin' Up! display stand at the Sydney Quilt and Craft Show and took the time to sit at the Make and Take table to make a card with us. 
This is us putting the finishing touches to our display on 'Bump-In' day.
