Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #136 | Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set a colour challenge. The colours are Evening Evergreen, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia & Pear Pizazz.

 

When I first looked at the colours I was drawn to the bright, fun colours you would find in an ice cream sundae & I have been itching to play with the Share a Milkshake stamp  bundle from Stampin' Up!'s mini catalogue.

To create the card I have incorporated all the challenge colours plus a little Smokey Slate for the spoon. (which isn't really against the challenge guidelines as it is a lighter shade of black) I have 'stamped off ' my Pear Pizzaz ink to create a lighter tone. By doing this it did give the stamped image a mottled look but I thought that was OK as it added texture to the image.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge 103

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week the design team have been set a colour challenge using the colours Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.

I thought these colours

looked a bit Christmasy so I chose to make a set of Christmas cards for this one. The stamp set is Delivering Cheer from our Stampin' Up! current Mini Catalogue. This lovely, versatile set has multiple exchangeable pieces so you can mix and match the images to create several options for your cards. I have made Christmas cards but the gifts could also be for a birthday, the flowers for a get well or any occasion card for that matter. Clever Stampin' Up!

Staying with the same colour combination I have created 2 other cards with the same stamp set. Most of the colouring I did with my Stampin' Blends however we don't have a Crushed Curry blends pen so I have used my Stampin' Write Marker.

For the yellow boots in this card I have re-stamped and fussy cut her boots to try to incorporate more of the Crushed Curry colour. I then used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker around the edge of the boots to give them definition.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges: Challenge #085 Theme:3D

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #085. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and we have a 3D challenge for you today.

I love to make 3D items because I think there is so much more you can achieve with Stampin' Up! products apart from card making. Whether they be gift boxes, framed projects, table decor or something pretty for a gift presentation.

I always try to include a 3D item in my monthly Stamp Club projects and the desk top calendar was the item for February. Usually some form of calendar would be included in my January class but due to COVID restrictions my Face to Face class could not go ahead in January.

I have created 2 styles of calendars using the adorable Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. 

The measurements for the above design The Easel Calendar are as follows:

• Blushing Bride Cardstock 10.8cm x 28cm (4-1/4" x 11"), scored along long side at 7cm & 14cm (2-3/4" & 5-1/2")
• Blushing Bride Cardstock 10.8cm x 14cm for calendar panel (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
• Designer series paper 10. 3cm x 13.5 cm 2 pieces (4" X 5-1/4")
• Blushing Bride Cardstock for Post-It© Note base 8.3cm x 8.3 cm (3-1/4" x 3-1/4")
• Basic White Cardstock for Post-It Note© cover 3.1cm x 10.1cm (3-1/8" x 4")
• Blushing Bride Cardstock 6cm x 8cm for calendar base (3" x 3")
• DSP for pen loop 2.5cm x 10cm (1" x 4")
• Snail Mail designer series Paper to fussy cut snails and mushrooms

I like the squiggly paper DSP background on this one as that is what I usually do while I am sitting at my desk trying to write. 

My next two designs a probably a little more complicated as you need to form a small box which you attach to the front of the stand to hold your sticky note pad. 

These are the measurements for the Mini Desk Calendar 

• Cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 26.6cm (3-3/4" x 10-1/2") Score at 10.1cm, 20.3cm, 22.8cm, 25.4cm  (4", 8", 9", 10")
• Cardstock measuring 12cm x 18cm (4-3/4" x 7") Score 10cm and 11.4cm  (4" and 4-1/2")
• Designer Series Paper 9cm x 5.7cm  (3-1/2" x 2-1/4")
• Designer Series Paper 9cm x 7.6cm (3-1/2" x 3")

Fold along the score lines to form a mountain valley fold on longer Cardstock piece this forms your base

Form a box with the smaller piece of Cardstock. You will need to trim you sides down to the box edge.
