Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #041

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #041.
Challenge #041is a Sketch Challenge

For this challenge I have kept my card simple. I have mounted a side strip of one of the papers from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Papers onto a Whisper White card stock base which I have embossed with dies from the Stitched Labels Dies. This is to coordinate with embroidery in the Designer Series Paper. These papers depict actual photographs of hand-stitched embroidery. Amazing!
The little daisies have been punched from Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. Just to continue my floral theme.

I have created this card for Cindy to welcome her to my team. Don't forget you too can share in the many benefits of becoming a demonstrator by joining my team just like Cindy.

What are the benefits in becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?
  • Exclusive designs (highly sought-after and not available in other stores),
  • The opportunity to start your own business for a minimal investment,
  • Great discounts (20% – 38%),
  • Generous rewards (free stamps, all expenses paid holidays, commissions, pre-order opportunities, gifts and mementos),
  • Amazing suppor(loads of online resources, a monthly magazine and of course wonderful Demonstrator Support staff are there for you to help you succeed),

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Pets Challenge #39

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #039. Today's challenge is 'Pets'.

I used the challenge to create my animal loving Grandson a card for his birthday. The two dogs represent the family's two much loved Labradors. They are always tussling with each other and falling over each other to get to the back door for the first pat. For this reason I have entwined them on the card.

For my teenage Grandchildren's birthdays I like to give gift card vouchers so I am always on the look out for gift card holder designs. At my last Onstage I was given a clever pop-up gift card holder as a swap. I have altered the measurements so I could insert my gift card inside. This is the outside of the card.

When the card is opened the inside pops up to reveal the concealed  gift card from a pocket inside the card.
I have stamped the inside so the card isn't plain once the gift card is removed. The gift card fits over the Happy Birthday stamping.

Instructions are as follows:

Base card stock: 12.5cm x 25cm scored at 6cm and 17.5cm along long side.
Whisper White inside insert: 12.5cmx 9.5cm scored at 3.5cm and 11cm along long side.
Top front panel stamped Whisper White card stock: 11.1cm x 5.6cm.
Lower front panel DSP: 11.1cm x 7.1cm.
After scoring base card trim off 5cm each side from 17.5cm score line to top of card.
Fold in remaining 5cm on either side forming tabs on either side. Fold base up from lower score line and adhere 5cm tabs to card to form a pocket.
Adhere top edge of Whisper White inside insert to top inside edge of top flap. Fold Whisper White insert up along 1cm lower score line. This holds the gift card in place when the card is opened to stop it from being left behind in the pocket. Next slip the folded Whisper White card stock piece into the pocket and insert gift card into the slot.
Stamp to decorate as desired.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #038.
Challenge #038 is a Sketch Challenge

I have chosen the Floral Romance Suite for my projects today. The Wonderful Romance Stamp Set from this suite coordinates beautifully with the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies
For the side panel in the sketch I have used a strip of the gorgeous Floral Romance Special Designer Series Paper and laid it over Soft Sea Foam card stock for a soft pretty card. For an element I have then fussy cut a floral spray from the same Special Designer Series Paper. You will notice that the paper is actually vellum, one of two vellum designs in the pack.

My next card still reflects the sketch design however I have used one of the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies to give the card what I think is an elegant edge. The leaf elements were also cut with framelits dies from the pack. A Frosted Flower Embellishment completes the card.

Using the same die cuts I have made a belly band for one of our  Acetate Card Boxes this time completing it with the Petal Pink/Whisper White Variegated Ribbon also a member of this lovely suite. The Acetate Card Boxes hold 5 standard cards plus C6 envelopes. Perfect for storing your finished cards or packaging your cards as a gift.

Global Design Project #GDP177 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome. Global Design Project #GDP177 is a colour challenge. I couldn't resist playing along with this challenge as the colours are so pretty together.

I have created my projects using the Beauty Abounds stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.
This stamp set was one of the first sets I purchased from the latest catalogue and it has been sitting there begging to be inked up ever since.

I had some bits and pieces laying around my craft table so I went ahead and created a coordinating 10cm x 10cm gift card and gift tag.

Love the beautiful bokeh dots effect the stamp set has giving varying shades of colour without having to stamp off your stamp.

This set is filled with some great sentiments as well and can be bought as a bundle with coordinating framelits. The framelits dies give us some amazing layered butterflies. Which I will show you in a later post.

This card set is probably a good example of #simplestamping, a promotion Stampin' Up! have running at the moment demonstrating that all you need is paper, ink and stamps to create a lovely card.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope you find inspiration from my project. For even more inspiration pop on over to the Global Design Project page here.
