Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #145|Theme Baby or Child

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set a Baby or Child theme

I thought I would have a play with the Carousel Horses stamp set. I have stamped out the images and used it with the gorgeous Designer Series Paper from the Beautiful Balloons Suite. This is the front of my card.  

But the inside reveals a surprise Twist and Pop insert. Here is the link to the tutorial I have used from Taffy Crafting. I thought this would be a fun little element to add to a children's card. I do apologise for the poor quality of my photographs I had a lot of trouble as the Fresh Freesia colour kept bleeding into my background.

My next two cards are fun little shaker cards one for child and one for a new arrival.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #144\Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set a colour challenge. The challenge being to choose your favourite colour combinations. 

I think the challenge for me was to choose from the many Stampin' Up! colour combinations I love. They are unlimited really. 

I settled on the three colours Parakeet Party, Crushed Curry and Bubble Bath. 

Instead of stamping directly with my full strength inks I cut cardstock stencil templates with the balloon dies from the Beautiful Balloons Bundle then using my Blending Brushes stencilled my balloons onto a 1/2 A4 sheet of Basic White cardstock.

I then cut my sheet of stencilled cardstock into 3 pieces and applied them to 3 different card bases.

Measurements for cutting the A4 sheet where as follows:

1/2 sheet of A4 Basic White cardstock cut long side at 9.5cm, 14.5cm & 19.5cm

Trim the 9.5cm & one 5cm piece along short side at 14.5cm

Trim remaining 5cm strip at 10.1cm along short side.

You will have a small square remaining that you could use for a gift tag and a strip to use to decorate the inside of a card.

I stencilled some extra balloons on some separate Basic White cardstock added some sentiments and Tinsel Gems to create 3 cards from 1/2 a sheet of cardstock.
