Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge #109

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #109. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and we have a CASE the Designer challenge for you today. The designer we are casing is one of our very clever and creative Inspire.Create team members Denita Wright-Smee.

Denita is very special to me as she is not only a member of my Stampin' Up! team but a very dear friend who provides never ending inspiration and encouragement to me.

Is there anything sweeter than a galloping unicorn and none are sweeter than the cartoon style unicorn in Stampin' Up!'s Hippo Happiness Bundle from the 2021-2022 Annual catalogue. Here I have created a simple card CASEing the design from Dentia's card

but substituting and featuring the great elements from the stamp set and its coordinating dies.

I've substituted Denita's swirly frame for a die cut stitched frame that creates a base for my sentiment and unicorn. I have also used another of the dies to replace the ribbon.

For the unicorn there are two stamps in the set that are used together to build this cutie. One stamps the full shape of the unicorn, and the other fills his body, leaving the face blank so it can be filled in with the face stamp. I have stamped the full body in Daffodil delight and then head and body in Melon Mambo stamping directly over the Daffodil Delight body. Using Tuxedo Black I then stamped the face.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge #108

I have a short post for you today as I have been a little time poor this week. I have chosen to show case a little of the Heart & Home Suite available now in Stampin' Up!'s new Mini Catalogue January-June 2022.

These beautiful papers are from the Heart & Home Designer Series 12" x 12" Papers and I have teamed them with a strip of the Silver Foil Specialty Paper (no longer available sorry), a Bumblebee Trinket and a leaf from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Birthday

 Happy New Year! Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a theme challenge for you, the theme being 'Birthday'.

I always feel sorry for people who celebrate their birthdays around Christmas. My Granddaughter, Emily, was born on the 3rd of January and there is always the problem of what to give her for her Birthday. At least I have a card for her. How convenient.

Given that Emily is turning 15 years of age I thought she may like a bright, sparkly card. 

So I have a little sneak peak for you from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue, due for release on the 4th of January. 

I have used the Brilliant Rainbow Dies and teamed them with the gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer Paper from the Annual Catalogue to create these cards. The sentiment 'Happy Birthday' is from the  Special Moments Stamp set available for free during our Sale-A-Bration promotion which will be running from 4th January-28th February, 2022.

I have used opposite ends of the Glimmer Paper to create a feminine version and then a more masculine version of the card.

I liked the idea of having the rainbow card front as a cut away but I can tell you it was a bit difficult to trim the card front back to the rainbow neatly and evenly as there isn't a die for this. Not perfect but I gave it my best shot. The sun is cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies available in the Annual Catalogue.
