Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge#162|Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create. Challenge #162. I am Karen Farquhar an Australian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. This week we have been set an Inspiration Challenge. The challenge is to create a project from anything that appeals to you from this gorgeous Jo Blackman's card.
You could choose to recreate Jo's layout, her colour scheme, her theme, the same stamped images... Anything that appeals to you. There are no wrongs.

I chose Jo's design but recreated it as a Scrapbook page of my Granddaughter on Easter Sunday morning.
The soft pastel colours in the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper remind me so much of soft Easter colours I had to use them for this photo. However I have been told purple and yellow are Easter colours.

I have also created an Easter card again using Jo's design with the sweet Excellent Eggs stamp set and the Lighter Than Air DSP.

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?
We really would love to see your creations. Note we need your projects submitted here by 10am. Sunday  (UK time).
Below are the products I have used for today's projects.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges: #161|Theme Challenge All About Love

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set the theme challenge 'All About  Love'.

I've been revisiting my love for embroidery lately so I thought I might incorporate some cross-stitching into my card making for this challenge.

I graphed out a couple of simple designs then laid the graph paper designs over my cardstock, pierced the designs through to the cardstock using a sewing pin. Then simply connected the pinpricks with cross- stitches using one strand of DMC embroidery thread.

I have used two designs from two of the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration FREE Designer Series Paper packs as background papers to my designs.

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?
We really would love to see your creations. Note we need your projects submitted here by 10am. Sunday  (UK time).

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges: #160|Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #160. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have my favourite challenge a Sketch Challenge.

I needed to create a birthday card for my Grandson and I wanted to step away from the usual football/sport inspired cards I usually make for him.

They have 2 very naughty, adorable Labrador very loved furry family members, so when I saw the new stamp Doggone Friendly in our new Mini Catalogue I thought that it really would make a fun card.
So I stamped 3 images of the Doggone Friendly background stamp. I then used one image as the background for my card, cut the 2 rectangular shapes from the next piece to replicate the challenge sketch, then fussy cut the doggies from the 3rd stamped image.
I have lined all the stamped images up with the background images and adhered them in place using Real Red Cardstock as bases for the black and white stamping. I then coloured a few of the stamped details with a Real Red  Stampin' Blends Pen.
Can you name all the dog breeds on the stamp?

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?

Colour INKspiration Challenges #157

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar an Australian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I spotted the Colour INKspiration Challenges latest challenge on Facebook and thought how pretty. So I decided to join in this week.

The colours are Bubble Bath,
Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana and Orchid Oasis.

The Simply Sparkling Bundle is an Online Exclusive and I couldn't wait to have a play with it when Stampin' Up! first released it.

I played around with my Stampin' Blends to start with but I then decided on more subtle colours and water-coloured the images using the colour challenge colours.
My inspiration came from an advertisement for fruit drinks. Pictured below.

Thank you for dropping by today I hope you are inspired by my projects.
