Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #028

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge.
Stamping Challenge #028 is a colour challenge and the colours are just gorgeous.

However even though the colours are so pretty and look lovely together I was a bit puzzled as to how to incorporate them into one card. So what I have done is use all the colours and the baby wipe technique with a result I love.
I felt as if the colours were sort of Autumn tones or Fall tones so I have made a wreath in the colours for our Northern Hemisphere friends who will be celebrating Thanksgiving and Halloween soon.

Then again they could also be pretty Spring colours so I have swapped out the cardstock and made some Spring designs as well.

Inspire.Create stamping Challenges #127 Theme:Celebration

Hello and welcome. For Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #027 we have a theme challenge 'Celebration' and no other card design says celebrate to me more than a shaker card. Originally designed by the very talented and a friend of mine Louise Sharp. Follow this link to see how Louise has created this clever card design.

My next card has been unashamedly CASEd from the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue. I wanted to showcase the Blow Out The Candles Stamp Set and Framelit Dies Bundle. I loved the sample card on page 77 so much I thought why reinvent the wheel. I just swapped out the colours to suit my colour palette.

Continuing the celebration theme I have fussy cut some of the cute images from the Broadway Bound Specialty Designers Series Paper. You may have already seen a number of projects using the gorgeous black and gold all occasions side of this DSP however the flip side is just as engaging with it's bright party designs. I have created some simple little gift tags to coordinate with my cards.

Another project still using the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper is a treat box made with the Petite Treat Framelits

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge #026

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. For challenge #026 we have a Sketch Challenge. I love sketch challenges because when your mojo is a little low I find they can work as an inspiration springboard.

For my projects I have applied my Shimmery White Embossing Paste to create a subtle pretty background.

The stamp set, framelits dies and designer series paper are from the Frosted Floral Suite. Just one of the beautiful products in our new 2018 Holiday catalogue released this week. See the sidebar to the right to download your copy.

To make the heart shapes I folded a piece of paper in half and cut 1/2 a heart shape on the fold. I then opened the paper out and used both the cut out heart and it's negative left in the paper as paper masks for both cards. I just placed my card fronts and paper masks under my Pattern Party Decorative Mask and spread my embossing paste over the mask.

This 3"x 3" gift card is made from unused stamped gems floating around my craft table. The gorgeous water coloured effect is a feature of this stamp set but I have enhanced the effect by using the Baby Wipe technique which I will showcase more in a future post.
