Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge#203 Christmas Decoration

Hello and welcome to the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. Today we have been set a theme challenge. The theme being Christmas Decorations.

So for my submission I have created a few Christmas tree hanging ornaments.
For my first group I have used Basic white card stock and teamed it with Gold Foil. Die cutting the doves from the Stampin' Up!'s Peace on Earth Dies

To construct the shaker ornaments you will need 6 Basic White Cardstock Rings and 1 Gold Foil ring die-cut from the 2 largest circle dies in the Stylish Shapes Dies (love these dies).
I held the two die-cutting circles together, smaller inside the larger with wash tape whilst cutting the rings.
1 large die-cut circle of Window Sheet.
2 large Basic White die-cut circles for the back of the ornament.
One of which for a sentiment for the back of the ornament.
Adhere the 6 Basic White rings together in a stack, adhere the die-cut l Window Sheet circle on top & then glue the gold foil ring onto the outside of the Window Sheet circle.
Flip the ornament over, sprinkle the inside with Stampin' Up's Gold Shaker Stars. Decorate one large die-cut circle with die-cut doves or any other type of embellishment you like and then adhere your embellished  circle to the back of the ornament face down. You can then apply a second circle to the back if you wish to stamp a sentiment for gift giving.

I have constructed my blue ornaments in the same way using Night of Navy Cardstock substituting one of the Basic White circles for the beautiful Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper as background.

For my next set of ornaments I have fussy cut images from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper using the same Designer Series Paper
as a background and Gold Foil again for the rings

Inspire Create Challenge #201 Shades of Blue and Green

Hello and welcome to the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. Today we have been set a colour challenge. The colours being Shades of Blue and Green.

I have gone with a Christmas theme using a very pretty new stamp set Joyful Tidings that landed in my letter box this week.

I have water coloured the background on a 5" x 5" piece of basic white thick card stock in a Stampin' Up! Pool Party ink wash. People often argue that the colour Pool Party is green but I think it is more a shade of blue. However either way it meets this challenge.

The wreath was then stamped using the baby wipe technique in Stampin' Ups! Night of Navy and Highland Heather ink refills. I have stamped the image in each corner to form a wreath.
Then I silver embossed another wreath image over the top. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up's! Jolly Holly stamp set and the die from the Words for the Season Stampin' Cut & Emboss Dies.

I hope you like my project today and I have inspired you to enter the challenge. You can see more inspiration from our talented team over on the Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges blog site.
