Hello and welcome to a new Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have been set the theme challenge 'Anything But a Card'.
For my challenge piece I have used a Stampin' Up! Square Pillow Box. I used a Blending Brush to colour the outside of the box with Balmy Blue ink. I then stamped randomly all over with the splatter stamp from the Colour & Contour stamp set to achieve a speckled egg effect. My intention is to enclose speckled eggs in the box as an Easter gift. I then cut a window in the front of the box with a die from the Thoughtful Expressions Die set and attached a piece of Window Sheet.
Tip: colour your box before you cut your window, as if you do not use a pristine upper plate on your die cutting machine small scratch marks will show on your box.
Flowers and leaves have been cut from the Seasonal Branches, Dandy Delight and Gorgeously Made die sets.
Feathers are from my stash.
Having completed the box I have gone ahead and created some Easter note cards with my extra flowers and leaves. You can see the new Zinnia 3D embossing folder in the background available from my online store. So pretty.
For a little added idea I have filled the Stampin' Up! Envelope Treat Boxes with Zinnias from the new Simply Zinnia Suite as another Easter gift idea. Perhaps a get well message could be substituted and given as a gift to someone recovering from surgery or an illness.
Thank you for dropping by I hope you are inspired by my project. Do you feel like you would like to join the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge?
