Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Bright and Bold

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a theme challenge for you, the theme being 'Bright and Bold'.

I have a great niece turning 4 years old this week so I thought a Bright and Bold card was in order.

To create the card I chose the brightest colour combination I could think of in our Stampin' Up! colour range. I have used the Mini Catalogue's Sweet Treats stamp set, teamed it with the die from the Classic Cloche Bundle and the Bundle's coordinating Cloche Shaker Domes. I then added the bright Shaker Shapes from the Annual catalogue to make a shaker card for her.

I have also created a Christmas card with a coordinating box of tags with the same stamp set yummy enough to eat.
The interlocking fold card I have CASEd from Lori Pinto. For instructions follow her link to watch her YouTube video. She explains the instructions much better than I would.

I designed this card set for my Stamp Club this week. I have filled the Kraft Gift Box with four 2 3/4" square gift cards and 4 coordinating gift tags. If I were to make the set again I would have made the gift cards 3 3/4" square so they would sit more snuggly in the box. To overcome this I tied the gift cards with a ribbon bow to hold them in place.

The measurements for the lining sections of the box are:
Gift tags: 16cm x 16cm scored all four sides at 1.5 and 3cm.
Gift tags: 16cm x 11.5cm scored all four sides at 1.5cm and 3cm.
Pen section: 8cm x 16cm scored at 1.6cm, 3.2cm, 4.8cm, 6.4cm.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge 103

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week the design team have been set a colour challenge using the colours Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.

I thought these colours
looked a bit Christmasy so I chose to make a set of Christmas cards for this one. The stamp set is Delivering Cheer from our Stampin' Up! current Mini Catalogue. This lovely, versatile set has multiple exchangeable pieces so you can mix and match the images to create several options for your cards. I have made Christmas cards but the gifts could also be for a birthday, the flowers for a get well or any occasion card for that matter. Clever Stampin' Up!

Staying with the same colour combination I have created 2 other cards with the same stamp set. Most of the colouring I did with my Stampin' Blends however we don't have a Crushed Curry blends pen so I have used my Stampin' Write Marker.

For the yellow boots in this card I have re-stamped and fussy cut her boots to try to incorporate more of the Crushed Curry colour. I then used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker around the edge of the boots to give them definition.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenge 102

Hello and welcome to Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #102. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and we have a great sketch challenge for you today.

I love shaker cards and this layout just begged me to create one for this Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. Die cut stars are set between two squares of Window Sheet so you are able see through the card front to see the design on the inside.

Originally this style of card was designed by a beautiful friend of mine Louise Sharp. Would you like to make one of your very own? Louise has kindly made a video tutorial with easy step by step instructions so you can. Please click here for Louise's tutorial. She is soooo very clever.

I have taken a couple of photos to try and get the right angle for you to be able to see the effect.

I have had this photograph of my Granddaughter playing around with her mother's makeup from last Halloween and I couldn't resist scraping it for her album while I had my Halloween goodies out.
