Inspire.Create. STAMPING CHALLENGES Sketch Challenge #217

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a fun sketch challenge for you.

Of course, as with all our challenges, you can use any part of the theme or sketch to inspire your creation!

For my card, I followed the sketch exactly and paired basic white cardstock with the beautiful Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper for a fresh and pretty look. The sketch also inspired me to pull out my Perennial Postage Dies to incorporate into the design.

I had so much fun bringing this card together and I hope it inspires you to join the challenge and get creative too!

This week, we’re embracing the elegance of a classic Black & White challenge — you could definitely call it a colour challenge with a stylish twist! We can’t wait to see the striking creations you come up with.

I used this challenge as the perfect opportunity to create three masculine cards — something I never seem to have enough of on hand! 😊

For my cards I have used the Faux Fractured or Faux Shutter design.
Karen Titus has kindly posted instructions on her website here. Thank you Karen.

The stamp set is the 'Ready, Set, Go' set from Stampin' Up! and the papers are Stampin' Up!'s 'Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper.'

Inspire.Create. STAMPING CHALLENGES Challenge #215|Embossing Challenge

Hello and a warm welcome to another Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenge! I’m Karen Farquhar, joining you from Australia.
Time to make your designs pop! This week, we’re diving into an embossing challenge.
Easily one of my favourite go-to techniques!
From subtle textures to bold, glossy finishes, embossing (dry or heat) can create pure magic. Sharing embossing with new stampers is such a joy, especially when they see the stunning effects come to life!

Today I’m sharing a simple yet eye-catching card that combines both dry and heat embossing. I’m also giving you a little sneak peek of the beautiful new Fern and Flora Suite from the upcoming May–August Stampin’ Up! catalogue!

For this design, I experimented with a popular technique—cutting the embossed background into 1" and ¾" strips, then mounting them alternately on dimensionals. The result is a striking layered 3D effect that really brings the card to life.

Such a fun way to add texture and depth—definitely a technique worth trying!

I can’t wait to see what you create!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today and feel inspired to join in the challenge!

INSPIRE.CREATE.CHALLENGE #214|Water Challenge

Hello and a warm welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge! I’m Karen Farquhar, joining you from Australia. This week we have a fun theme to spark your creativity—‘Water’! 💧

This challenge invites you to create a project inspired by water—either featuring it as a theme or using it as part of your design. I chose to work with water colouring for my submission.

As you can see, I’ve started with a simple gold-embossed image created using the 'Simply Beautiful' stamp bundle.

I’ve chosen to build my cards by gradually progressing from a simple heat-embossed image to a water coloured design.

For my third design, I’ve used another image from the 'Simply Beautiful' bundle and added a frame to highlight it.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects today and feel inspired to join the challenge. You can find more inspiration from our talented design team over on the Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges website.

We would really love to see your creations—please submit your projects here by 10am Sunday (UK time).
