Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #137 | Theme Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This weeks challenge has the Theme: Spring Time.
Well guess what it isn't coming into Spring in Australia it is coming into Autumn (or Fall). However Easter is on its way so I have created some Easter cards for this weeks challenge.
For my cards I have combined two stamp sets Full of Love from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue and Easter Bunny from our January-April Mini Catalogue.

BEWARE a lot of fussy cutting ahead ✄✄
For my first card I have fussy cut the envelope section apart from the floral display in the stamped image and popped my little bunny inside. My bunnies are coloured with my Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends Pens and for the flowers I have used Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and a touch of Real Red.

For my next card I have coloured the flowers Orchard Oasis and Daffodil Delight using my Stampin' Blends then fussy cut and arranged them around my bunny. I have used these colours as I have been told that yellow and purple are Easter colours. Purple to symbolise penance, humility and the suffering of Jesus, yellow and white to symbolise the resurrection.

My third card is a 51/2" square card. I stamped and fussy cut the flowers from the Full of Love stamp set plus the Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny stamp set and arranged them as a wreath. Again using Orchard Oasis and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends pens for my flowers.

Although there is a lot of colouring and fussy cutting in these projects I find this a relaxing way to pass time.
My final project is a bunny gift box that contains 3 miniature Easter eggs. To make the box cut a piece of cardstock 21/2" x 31/2" score along long side at 1" and 21/2" and short side at 3/4" and 13/4". Cut scored lines along long edges to 3/4"score lines. Fold all sides in and adhere to form a box. These would be a cute small gift or make pretty place settings for your Easter table.
The bunnies were cut with the bunny punch which comes as part of the Easter Bunny Bundle.

A Good Day

Hello and welcome. I'm so pleased you called by for a visit. It's time for the Global Design Project Challenge again. WOW! it comes around fast, the weeks just fly by. Global Design Project Challenge #GDP129 is a colour challenge.

For this week's challenge I used the stamp set A Good Day which I find very cute and has been sitting on the shelf begging to be inked up. My thoughts were to keep my colours subtle by water colouring the tiny images.

I was a bit disappointed as I was wanting to make up a set of Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes found in the 2018 Occasions Catalogue but I had used them all for classes and other projects. All was not lost however. I cut my Calypso Coral cardstock to the same dimensions as the notecards in the 2018 Occasions Catalogue and found a great site to calculate the exact size I needed to make my envelopes with my Envelope Punchboard. The site is called Envelope Generator and yes 'there is an app. for that'. Time to order some more note cards I think.

The Mini Embroidery Hoops are perfect for framing these little images. For a Calypso Coral bow accent I ran my Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend along the length of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine to get the coloured twine I needed.

I have also added 3 more cards made with this set. Even though I love the foil side I flipped the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper to it's back side to give me a natural look cardstock for the front panel.
The banners were stamped with the Thoughtful Banners Stamp set and punched out with the Duet Banner Punch. I drew a line between the top and bottom of the banner to highlight the sentiment a little better.

For the Lemon lime Twist Accents I punched out some cardstock circles in varying sizes and adhered them to my card front, then applied dots of glue with my Fine-Tip Glue Pen allowing them to dry without touching them.

You may notice that for all my projects today to achieve the result I was planning I have altered the purpose of the products for which you would usually use them for. This shows how versatile Stampin' Up! products can be.
