Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge #210 'Florals'

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a theme challenge for you. The theme being 'Florals'.

I'm in love the pretty floral colours in the 'Bunch of Thanks Kit' from Stampin' Up! The kit is meant to be small gift cards but I have decided to incorporate them into greeting cards.

The 'Florals in Bloom' Designer Series Paper teamed beautifully with the colours in in the bouquets in this kit

To
highlight the beautiful floral bunches in the kit I have stepped up my card designs by creating fancy fold cards.

For the above card I have fussy cut the bouquet and saved the patterned cardstock at the base of the bouquet to use for my stamped sentiments.
Stampin' Up! kits are perfect for beginner stampers as they include everything you need to create beautiful cards without having to purchase extra supplies. However the 'Bunch of Thanks" kit is on our last chance list. So it may sell out soon.

I hope you like my projects

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges #209|Love

Hello and welcome to another Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. I am Karen Farquhar from Australia. This week we have a theme challenge for you. The theme being 'Love' an appropriate theme with Valentine's Day this week.

This challenge prompted me to create a Scrapbook page for my Granddaughter who became engaged to be married over the Christmas break.
The two of them had just climbed Cradle Mountain located in the beautiful Heritage Listed Central Highlands of Tasmania. Ben had set up a camera under the pretence of capturing the view. To her surprise he then dropped to one knee and produced an engagement ring.
This is not the greatest photo of her as she was hot and breathless after the climb, but I love it as it shows her joy on her face.

Due to time constraints this week I have used Stampin' Up's Wildflower Celebration Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to create this quick scrapbook page.
I followed the easy to follow directions for #3 in the kit with a little tweaking as the flower positioning in the kit instructions buried part of my photograph. I have also used Cloud Cover Two Tone Card stock to keep the journalling subtle in colour.
