Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and I thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #068. The Ornate Garden Suite is featured in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue but Stampin' Up! have provided it to us for pre-release. So we are able to purchase it now. Just a little tease of what's to come.

The Ornate Suite features detailed floral images, gold foil, gems, ribbons and elegant borders with beautiful coordinating dies. These dies are a must have. Also there is sweet little embossing folder Ornate Floral 3D.

I have mainly played with the dies for my cards but the Designer Series Paper will be a firm favourite as well.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #067

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and I thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #067. Today we have a colour challenge for you.
Blackberry Bliss, Poppy Parade,
Pool Party and Old Olive. Such vibrant pretty colours.

One thing I guess about having to stay home during the Corona Virus pandemic is you get to finish some unfinished projects.
I came up with this idea for my mini-album after the last Stampin' Up! Onstage event I attended. Stampin' Up give you such beautiful flyers for the events that I cannot bear to throw them away. So I decided to use the flyers to create a mini album as a keepsake of the day.

The size of the album is 14cm x 9.5cm. The size was governed by the most economical way I could fit the printed flyer to the cover.

The album was bound together using a concertina method of scoring and folding a 30cm x10cm strip of Designer Series Paper at intervals of 2.5cm. The landscape sides of the DSP are scored and folded at 2.5cm & 7.5cm. I centred and adhered the inside pages to the mountain fold of the concertina 2.5cm from each edge.
Peaks are then folded along the landscape sides at 5cm intervals or at every second score line. These peaks are then folded inwards to the inside pages and adhered.
Front and back covers were cut from scrap cardboard, covered, then adhered to the first and last fold.

I have also created a box to hold my mini-album.

And of course you can't make a Stampin' Up! album without a little stamping.

The inside pages are folded in half to create little pockets so some stamped tabbed inserts complete the album all ready to add my photos and memorabilia.

Thank you for visiting me.  I hope you have been inspired by the project I have presented today. Global Design Project #275

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia. I am playing along with the Global Design Project team this week and the theme 'Spring/Easter'.

I decided to use my Stamparatus tool to create this little card and use a non-Easter stamp set Cuckoo to You. Although I would much rather be receiving chocolate than carrots I thought they were still a bit cute.

Lining up these little marching rabbits without the use of my Stamparatus would have been so tiresome but the hinged removable plates on the Stamparatus allow you to move the plate from one hinge to the next and to stamp across the page without having to reposition your stamp on the plate.

I have also added the little rabbit to a gift tag to coordinate with my card.
I would like to say thank you to those visiting me today. I hope you find inspiration from my projects. All of the products I have used today are available in our 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Just click on the thumbnails below to take you straight to my online store. Happy shopping.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Easter

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and I thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #066.
Well, what an unprecedented time we are all facing. At the moment life is a bit insane and like me, I'm sure you have been feeling the stress of all the announcements and changes we are navigating our way through. I am thankful I have a craft room for somewhere to retreat to and hibernate.
With the uncertainty of the coming weeks and with social distancing becoming best practice even though I am missing my family and friends I am welcoming the time to stay home, slow down and maybe clean my craft room. Maybe?
My heart and prayers go out to my overseas friends who have suffered loss of loved ones and hardship from this terrible virus.

The theme for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #066 is Easter.

For my Easter cards I have tried to give them a soft effect with some sponging and watercoloring.

I have used images from 'Non- Easter' stamp sets.

And added some sentiments and floral die-cuts to complete the cards.
See the thumbnails below for products I have used.

Thank you for visiting me.  I hope you have been inspired by the cards I have presented today.
