Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #055

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #055. Today's challenge is a colour challenge with the lovely combination Blushing Bride, Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy and Old Olive.

For my contribution to the challenge I have decided to create a card which folds out to be a gift card/money holder. I have stamped out the Christmas light images from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set in our challenge colours then strung them across the card front.

The card has an inside flap for your greeting which opens to reveal
a place to hold either a gift card/voucher or cash.

I placed my die cutter plate half way over a circle die (Layering Circle Die) then passed my cardstock through my die cutting machine, to create top and bottom slots to hold the voucher or cash securely in place.

I have also used my Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Die to create some cute little Hershey Nugget chocolate holders to resemble Christmas lights. I thought these would make cute gifts or even sweet place settings for the festive table.

Instructions as follows:
Die cut a Mini Keepsake Box then trim off two opposite sides along the score lines. Score the square on the inside a centimetre in from each of the two remaining score lines. Fold along these new score lines to form a bottom.
To make the 'bulb base' die cut a piece of Silver Foil with a scalloped square die (from the Layering Squares Dies), score between each scallop, trim to fit the base, then adhere to the base of the 'bulb'. Then tie the tops together with Linen Thread and add some ribbon and elements to decorate. I also wrapped my Hershey Nuggets in coordinating Night Before Christmas DSP before  adhering them to the inside of the box with Mini Glue Dots

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Challenge #054

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #054. Today's challenge is a Die Cutting challenge.

Well die cutting isn't really a challenge for me as I die cut on most of my work. I just love die cutting so my challenge was to do something I thought would be a little different. For this reason I have designed some shaker gift tags using the Snow Scenes Dies, the Frosted Frames Dies, the the Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.

To make these I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock for each tag at 5cm width and then punched their tops with the Tag Topper Punch. I then ran my 2 strips of cardstock through my die cutting machine using a Stitched Rectangle Die. I sandwiched two pieces of Window Sheet together with my Snow Scenes images,
Ice Stampin' Glitter and Snowflake Sequins in-between and then adhered all layers together using Tear and Tape along the edges. A tie of the gorgeous Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon completes the tag.

I have also created a boy and girl Baby's First Christmas card set with the Still Scenes Bundle but substituted the the rocking teddy from the Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set. I sponged a piece of  Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper with Blushing Bride for girls and Balmy Blue for boys ink to give me a blue and pink background. The teddy bears are coloured with blends.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges Challenge #053

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #053. Challenge #053 is a Sketch Challenge.
I had a number of cards to create this week so I thought I would use the sketch from the challenge for all of them just to showcase the versatility of our Stampin' Up! products.
My first card is a very simple Christmas card. To create it I chose to gold emboss the 3 ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set. This set coordinates with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch. As you may be able see two of my ornaments where punched out of the front panel and then recessed inside the punched out images and the centre ornament is mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals to give depth and dimension to my card.

The Perfectly Plaid Stamp set was my next choice, with the coordinating Pine Tree Punch, for a card I needed to create for my Stamp-A-Stack class. Same again with this card the little tree is punched out of the front panel then a piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP is recessed behind the panel to add dimension.

And my third card is for my Granddaughter who made her Confirmation this week. Created with the same sketch but with a portrait orientation using the Hold On To Hope Stamp Set and coordinating Cross of Hope Framelits
