Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Theme: Party Challenge #033

Hello and welcome you are visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia  for Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges #033 we have the theme 'Party' this week.
I always feel sorry for people who celebrate their birthdays in December. I attended a friends 60th Birthday last week. As her birthday falls so close to Christmas my friend tells me she has never had a birthday party so she actually organised and paid for her own party.
However today I am posting the card I created for my Son-In-Law who celebrates his birthday this week. I have trouble creating cards for blokes so I am always grateful when Stampin' Up! release a masculine stamp set.

Of course the Bubble Over stamp set with it's coordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelits Dies could easily be used to create feminine cards but with Australia's scorching summer heat a cold stubbie is always a welcome refreshing drink that Aussie men love. So he got a card with stamped stubbies
This card would also make a great New Year card.

Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenges- Challenge #032

Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #032.

Something I have taken away from Onstage 2018 is that Stampin' Up! have identified 3 types of stampers.
  •  Beginner Stamper: a stamper with very little stamping knowledge, few supplies and wish not to spend a lot on supplies. For these stampers we start with the basics maybe cardstock, a stamp set and ink.
  • Casual Stamper: a stamper who stamps occasionally maybe for a special event, has limited time and owns some supplies. So we can add a little more technique or elements to the card.
  • The Avid Stamper: this stamper will stamp at least 2-3 times a week and likes to create more detailed and intricate projects. They love techniques and like myself have to have it all.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Challenge #032 is a sketch challenge and we have a virtual blank canvas to play with. So I decided to create 3 cards each for the 3 types of stampers identified my Stampin' Up!

My first card is for the Beginner Stamper a very simple card using Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, the Inspired Events Stamp Set and Cross of Hope Framelit. I have chosen to use Stampin' Emboss Powder as whenever a new stamper uses it in my classes they are thrilled with the result. It's like magic! The cross I have die cut with the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine but if they didn't have access to a Big Shot a simple element could be used.

For my second card a card for Casual Stampers I have upped the ante and added Copper Stampin' Emboss powder as well as the Silver and framed it with a base of Silver Foil. I have also introduced a second stamp set Hold on to Hope. Which coordinated with The Cross of Hope Framelits. Still simple but a little more detailed than the first card.

For my Avid Stamper's card I have used more of my Big Shot, using the oval Framelits, the cross die cut from the Cross of Hope Framelits, the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for some background texture and again included a little silver embossing.

Inspire. Create Stamping Challenges #031

Well hello and welcome. WOW! I have just arrived back from a fabulous weekend in Brisbane. I have been to a training day held by Stampin' Up! to share the new Occasions catalogue with us in preparation for when the catalogue goes live for you in January. Oh my you are going to LOVE it!
For Inspire, Create Stamping Challenges #301 we have a colour challenge.

The colours are Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce and Copper. As I was caught up with the preparation to fly to Brisbane this week I was only able to prepare one card for this week's challenge.

The stamp set is the host rewards stamp set Hand Delivered from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. I have put a new spin on the set by blocking out the apple and the side ribbon to the books and coloured them as Christmas presents. This is a very versatile set and worthwhile holding your own Workshop for to earn as a gift.
You'll notice the Shaded Spruce Rhinestones. Well Stampin' Up! do not carry green rhinestones so I have used my Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blend pen to colour my Basic Jewels Clear Rhinestones. The ink dries quickly an does not smudge your work.
