Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenge #023

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. For challenge #23 we have a sketch challenge. I love sketch challenges as half the creating is done for you.

For this challenge I have created 2 cards a boy and a girl version using the Little Elephant Stamp Set and Elephant Builder Punch Bundle I love, love, love this cute Little Elephant bundle that is why I decided to use it once again this week. Perfect not only for baby cards but also adults who love elephants. And who doesn't?

Twinkle Twinkle is the name of the Designer Series Paper I have used which coordinates with the Little Twinkle Bundle. Another very sweet set.

Looking at this week's sketch I felt it lent itself to a scrapbook page design so our newest family member managed to get a starring roll again for my project.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop Card kits/Project Kits

Welcome to the June, 2018 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia and this month's theme is 'Card Kits/Project Kits'. I hope you are inspired by my projects today.

The brief for this month's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop is to take a Stampin' Up! Card Kit or Project Kit and to either make it up or create alternative cards/projects from it.
I was so temped not to mess with perfection in the beautiful Notes of Kindness Card Kit and make it up as per instructions. But I bit the bullet and with a little of fussy cutting I ended up with a framed decor wreath, a scrapbook page, a thank you card and a lot of extra supplies left over for more projects.

My granddaughter asked if I could use this photograph of herself and two aunties to make a Scrapbook page for her Scrapbook album. The day was a special treat of High Tea for her from her aunties to celebrate her 18th Birthday. The roses on the china tea service inspired me to use the roses from the card kit to create this page.

My second project is a wreath of succulents and roses also die-cuts from the card kit. You can see how many supplies are included in each kit. Enough to make 20 cards in total.

With so many extra supplies left over I thought my Granddaughter may want to thank her Aunties for giving her such a special outing so I have made a simple little card for her to give them as well.

I think the kits Stampin' Up! have designed are perfect for people just being introduced to card making. Everything you need is included in the kits to create 20 beautiful cards. Including card bases, coordinating printed envelopes a stamp set, ink, clear stamp block, die-cut stickers and accents, pearls and dimensionals.

Thank you for visiting me today. I am Karen Farquhar and I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don't want to miss any!

Global Design project #GDP146 Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome. Global Design Projects #GDP146 is a sketch challenge. It is my husband's Birthday this week and I needed to make him a Birthday card. So for his card I have used the sketch challenge layout but changed the hearts to gift bows and have tried to stay with a masculine colour scheme.

I stamped the gift bows from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set using my Stamparatus. Using my Stamparatus made positioning the inside of the bow so much easier.
I moved the stitching on the sketch to divide the image into quarters. I am so thrilled to see straight stitched framelits in the Stitched Labels Framelits. I can see me getting a lot of use out of this set.

Having my two step bow stamps positioned on my Stamparatus meant I could just go ahead and stamp out a few in different colours to make tags for future use.

I would like to say thank you to those visiting me today. I hope you find inspiration from my projects. All of the products I have used today are available in our new 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. Just click on the thumbnails below and they will take you straight to my online store.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges Challenge #022

Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. For challenge #022 we have a colour challenge. The colour combination is Powder Pink, Coastal Cabana and Shaded Spruce.

My eldest granddaughter is heading off to the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland this weekend for a short break from our chilly winter weather here on the South Coast of N.S.W.
I have created a card for her to hold a little bit of spending money to take with her. (Nana's do that). The trip is a small milestone in her life. It will be her first holiday and air flight without her parents. She is so excited!
For my card I have used the stamp set Pocketful of Sunshine and it's coordinating Pocket Framelits.
With cash, sunglasses and ticket in her pocket she is all set for a fun time. The beauty of the Stampin' Up! Pocket Framelit is the little tabs at the sides which when folded under and adhered to your card create a 'pocket' into which you can slip extra gifts such as a gift voucher, notes or a small treat as an extra surprise.

I have also created two little gift cards from the same stamp and thinlit die set. These cards could be attached to an envelope when giving money as a gift as well.

You may have already seen the little carry bag in the shape of a pocket on other demonstrator websites but I thought I would include one in this post.
To make the little carry bag cut 2 of the pocket dies and a strip of cardstock 1" (2.5cm) x 7 1/2" (19cm).
Score your 1" (2.5cm) strip at 2 1/4" (5.7cm), 3 3/4"(9.5cm) and
5 1/4"(13cm).
Adhere the scored strip to the flaps on both of the pocket diecuts working your way around the pockets to form a box.
Attach another 1" (2.5cm) strip of cardstock as a handle adjusting the height as desired.
These would make cute little party treat bags for kids parties. You could coordinate the colours with the party's theme.
