Global Design Project #GDP140 CASE Designer Brian King

Hello and a warm welcome. I do mean a warm welcome! Winter has arrived right on queue and it is a little chilly. Without sunshine streaming through the windows the lighting inside our home is very dull so I have been ducking outside in between showers today to photograph my cards.

The Global Design Project for this week is CASE the brilliant Designer Brian King. Brian's website is a great resource place to visit as he as with most Stampin' Up! demonstrators is only too willing to share his knowledge with you. He is especially great with colour.

To CASE Brian's Card I have used his layout and sentiment and changed his floral spray to topiary trees using the stamp set Vertical Greetings. To 'ground' my pots I have used the cobblestone embossing die from the Build a Bike Framelits as a substitute for Brian's blending on the bottom of the page.

For my second card I have stayed with Brian's design but because of a stamping whoopsie right at the completion of my stamping I have added another potted tree on the right hand side.

What do you do with the left over stamped images? I fashion some coordinating gift tags.

From June 20-24, 2018  I will be a store holder at the Craft & Quilt Fair at Darling Harbour. As part of our promotion we will have show bags containing the 2018-2019 catalogue for you to purchase. Included in the show bag will be a few other exciting goodies that I am preparing at the moment and as a thank you for purchasing the catalogue you will receive a gift card designed by one of the 5 demonstrators running the stall. Below is the card I have created.

40 cards completed and ready to pack. Phew!

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope you find inspiration from my projects. All of the products I have used today are available in our new 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. Just click on the thumbnails below and they will take you straight to my online store.

  1. These are wonderful projects, Karen! I've always loved this set but have never thought to layer them together like this. Love it! Thanks for playing along with my CASE the Designer at GDP this week.
