Global Design Project 113 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome! I feel very privileged to have been fortunate enough to be chosen as a guest designer for the Global Design Project Colour Challenge.

The colours chosen for the challenge are Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party and Pear Pizzaz.

These colours are close to my heart as they are the colours of my little crafty webpage elf. Here he is to say hello.

For the Colour challenge I have used the Tags and Trimmings Bundle to create a gift card holder. If you were to turn the stocking over you would discover it is actually a pillow box. Perfect for a small gift, gift card or chocolate.

These thinlit dies are so versatile if you cut 2 of the pillow box dies you can create a pillow box by itself which would be suitable for gift giving all year round. With this little box I have double punched out the centre with the Everyday Label Punch and adhered a piece of Window Sheet to the inside to reveal the boxes contents.

Or by placing the cutting edge of the stocking thinlit just left of your folded cardstock you could take your stocking to the next level and create a card.

The pocket on the inside was made by trimming the pillow box sides and bottom edge back and scoring 1/4" around the 3 trimmed sides, folding along the score lines and attaching to the inside of the card with Tear and Tape.
I twisted some pipe cleaners together for my candy cane and added a chocolate Santa.

I think these little stockings would be a perfect gift for family, friends or as teachers thank you gifts. The Trim Your Stocking set of dies come with so many thinlits, 19 in total, and can be purchased separately or as a bundle with a coordinating stamp set Tags and Trimmings. Or you can purchase the stamp set separately as well. Just click on the pictures at the bottom of this page and they will take you straight to my Online Store.

Photographed here is the set of projects ready for Christmas gift giving.
Thank you for visiting me today. Pop on over to the Global Design Project page to see other many more cards the very talented stampers have made for this challenge.
Happy stamping.
