Hello and welcome! The Global Design Project Challenge this week is themed Family Time

Christmas is always a time of the year when my family make an effect to get together for a family celebration. Our extended family is spread throughout Australia and have to travel long distances to attend. So I thought the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalogue would be very appropriate for this weeks challenge.

The little houses from the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set nestle perfectly inside the stamped jars from the  Jar of Love Stamp Set. I have made a set of 12 to fill a prettily decorated jar. I thought that this might make a lovely gift for someone this year.

  

   I have also stamped some  poinsettias from the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set to decorate the tops of the little jars. I have added some touches of Embossing Paste mixed with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter to create a wintery, snowy scene.

To decorate the top of the jar I have used the coordinating Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies and the little truck fussy cut from the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper completes the scene.

 For the next set I swapped out the colours for a brighter little row of houses.

   

 And because I live in Australia and very rarely will any of our towns have snowfall over Christmas I have made an Australian version of the tags and stamped some little beach huts from the Beachy Little Christmas Stamp Set to make some sand filled shaker cards using real beach sand.
