Global Design Project #GDP110

Hello and welcome! For Global Design Project #GDP110 we have a design challenge.

I am so excited because for last week's challenge I was chosen as a guest designer for the next colour challenge. I'll have to put my thinking cap on for that one.

This week however for the design challenge I have decided to use one of our gorgeous Designer Series Christmas Paper packs.

I liked the Global Design Project design so much that I have made 3 cards but have swapped the design of the paper out to create 3 different looks. I have used Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper a favourite of mine from the Holiday catalogue, if I really must choose a favourite.

I have added the Christmas Around the World coordinating wooden embellishments to each card. These are great value as you receive 24 pieces: 8 of each 3 designs in the package.

Real Red Glimmer paper adds some bling to this card and I had the opportunity to use my Starburst punch for the first time. Sort of says 'look at me!' about the Christmas sentiment.

Have I mentioned that up until the end of October Stampin' Up! are offering a FREE packet of Designer Series Paper with every purchase of 3 packets of papers. A great way to stock up on your favourite designs and save.

These are the goodies my customers received this month for shopping with me. You too can receive a gift. Australian residents who spend over $50 in my online shop will receive free product from me in the post. Of course spent $250 or more and you are entitled to your own hostess rewards to spent on products of your choice.

The products used in my Global Design Project cards are listed below. Just click on the image and it will take you straight to my shop.
Thank you for dropping by today.
Happy stamping!

Inspire. Create Stamping Challenges

Hello and welome. Today I am joining the Inspire. Create Stamping Challenges for the first time  and the Theme is Festive.

This was a simple little card to put together. I stamped out the leaves and the poinsettia flowers in the Carols of Christmas stamp set. Then set about fussy cutting them. Once I had enough leaves and flowers I simply arranged them in the form of a wreath on a whisper white cardstock square cut with a square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies. Then I mounted them on a bigger square of Real Red Glimmer paper. A bow from the Jar of Love stamp set completed the card.

Pictured below are the products I have used to create this card. Just click on the picture and it will take you straight to my store.

Don't forget Stampin' Up have a big special for October on selected Designer Series Paper.  Buy 3 and receive an extra packet of Designer Series paper FREE!

Global Design Project #GDP109

Hello and welcome! Global Design Project #GDP109 is a lovely colour challenge of Gold, Basic Black and Olive.

When I saw the colours I decided that this week instead of making a card I would start my Christmas gift wrapping early and showcase some of Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Designer Series Papers, ribbons and pretty embellishments. When it comes to gift giving I always like to add some extra decorative touches to the wrapping so I have decorated some small boxes with ribbons and belly bands ready for Christmas. They are empty at the moment but when I get around to doing my Christmas shopping all I need to do is slip the belly bands off, fill the boxes and pop the belly bands back on ready for giving.

To decorate my little gift boxes I pulled out just about everything in my craft stash that was gold, black or old olive. I then sat down and just played around with all the pieces I had found.

Of course I had to use our  beautiful Merry Little Christmas DSP and Merry Music Specialty DSP just made for this challenge.
Gold embellishments combine beautifully with these papers. The metallic Foil Snowflakes, the Year of Cheer Embellishments, the Green Sprigs and the cute little Boxwood Wreaths are just a few goodies from our embellishment range to add finishing touches to my gifts. A little hint as well. You will notice that the Mini Ornaments on page 12 of the Holiday catalogue come in silver but notice that mine are gold. Did you know that you can often emboss elements to change their colour as I have done? Just do exactly as you would do when heat embossing your stamping:- roll the embellishment in your versa mark pad, dip it in the desired colour embossing powder and heat set it with your heat tool.
I have also added some die cuts and have made a mini shaker frame embellishment. I could have kept going but at 1o'clock in the morning I thought it was time to pack up. 😫

While I still had everything out yes I had to make a card. What the heck.

I have kept the gold, black colour theme and added a tiny Old Olive Enamel Shape and Old Olive Bakers Twine to meet the Global Design Project's colour challenge.

You will find all the supplies I used to make these projects in my Online Stampin' Up! store

Also you need to know the designer series paper is on sale for the month of October! For every 3 packets of the selected designer series paper you purchase you receive another pack for FREE!

Thank you for visiting me today and happy stamping.

Global Design Project #GDP108

Welcome! Global Design Project #GDP108 is CASE one of America's top Stampin' Up! Demonstrators the very talented Mr. Brian King.

I am finding the eclipse card design very popular with stampers at the moment and I really wanted to give it a try. So for the Global Design Project this week I have contributed my version of the eclipse design. I have incorporated the 4 layers from Brian's design on my card front to accentuate the sentiment and the hearts from the stamp set he has used Ribbon Of Courage. I have also taken Brian's original layout but turned it to a landscape orientation.

This card has been made for a stamping friend of mine who has recently lost her only child. I can not even begin to image the grief she must be experiencing so I wanted to make her a special card. To step the card up I have copper embossed the images to give the card an elegant look.

Still playing with the eclipse design I have made a Christmas card using the same wreath from the Hello Friend stamp set. This stamp set also has a coordinating Hello Friend Embossing Project kit available for purchase separately. The kit gives you an opportunity to step up your card-making by trying different heat embossing techniques as I have used in these cards.

The Trim Tour Stocking Thinlits Dies arrived in the post while I had all my supplies out on my craft table so I couldn't wait to have a play. The little stocking took me 20mins. in total to cut and put together. Measuring 13cm in length the stocking is mounted on a pillow-box perfect for holding a small treat or gift card. I can see all my family members receiving one of their own this Christmas. The little stockings would also be perfect for an advent calendar. Watch this space for more of these little cuties. I'm in love.
